& Stay
We’re so excited to celebrate with you in beautiful Telluride! We also appreciate so much, you taking the time, energy and money to make this weekend happen. It means the world to us.
To make your trip as easy (and fun) as possible, we’ve put together options for getting there, places to stay, and even camping on the ranch if you want to have an extra good time with us. We’ve got something for every budget, so everyone can join the celebration stress-free!
Getting There
Flying:
The closest major airport is Montrose Regional Airport (MTJ), about 1.5 hours from Telluride. You can also fly direct into Telluride Regional Airport (TEX)—there are direct flights from Phoenix during the season. Denver International Airport (DIA) is another option if you are wanting to road trip. Note: it is a 5+ hour drive from DIA.
We recommend booking your flights as soon as possible to keep costs low.
Road Trip:
If you’re up for a scenic road trip (Drew & Beri style), driving from Phoenix takes about 8 hours and if you’re flying into Denver, it takes around 5 hours. You’ll get to enjoy stunning mountain views along the way!
If you’re coming from Phoenix, this is probably the most budget friendly option. (Especially if you carpool with friends. (Tip: Drive through Durango vs Montrose)
Here’s an interactive map of our favorite spots to hit along the way!

Let’s go camping!!
We are so excited to be camping with all of our favorite people!!
We want to make camping as easy and accessible to anyone who wants to join in. Please read below for more details of the setup.
Please refer to the drop pin coordinates to ensure you go to the right part of the ranch (it is not the Schmid Family Ranch Headquarters).
The property allows both car and tent camping.
Please be aware that you need a high clearance vehicle to get to the land. Trailers will not make it up the road. We will have a sectioned off area for campers.
There will be a nice 4 stall port-o-potty trailer as well as a 3 stall shower trailer on the property. Apart from that, you will be essentially dry camping with no power sources.
There are 2 empty tack barns that you will be able to set stuff in (table for cooking, etc). It is all very raw, rugged, but COOL land.
The property has a "12am amplified music shutoff" rule but we can still hang by the campfire with small speaker after midnight.
Please note: the ranch is a 30 minute drive from telluride so having a car or carpooling with friends is a must so you can get around.
Gear + Packing
Want to join but don’t have the gear? You have options!
If you’re looking to purchase gear, we made a list of the key items you’ll need to camp comfortably in the Rockies.
Maybe you don’t want to invest in the gear? You can stop into an REI in your home town or in Denver and rent anything you need.
Packing List of Essentials:
Car to sleep in or Tent (with rain fly)
Sleeping pad
Sleeping bag (it gets chilly at night!)
Pillow
Headlamp
Water / Beverages
Food plan (drive into town or bring cookwear to cook)
Warm sleeping layers (Mountain weather can change quickly!)
Camping Chair
As always, pack in pack out / leave no trace :)
Even if you aren't an experienced camper, this is an amazing opportunity to give it a shot! If you have any more questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to Beri or Drew. We are more than happy to help!
