Frequently asked questions.
WILL TRANSPORTATION BE PROVIDED?
We will have shuttles to and from the venue, Schmid Family Ranch, on Saturday, July 25th. The rest of the weekend events are located in Telluride which has free transportation (gondola) and is very walkable. If you are staying in town, you will not need a car. If you choose to stay outside of Telluride or prefer not to take the shuttle on the day of the wedding, you are responsible for your own transportation.
ARE CHILDREN INVITED TO THE WEDDING?
We love your little ones, but we kindly ask that our wedding be an adults-only celebration. We want all of our guests to relax, be present, and fully enjoy the day with us.
CAN I BRING A DATE?
We’d love to keep our wedding intimate. If your invitation includes a +1, it will be listed—otherwise, we kindly ask that you join us solo so we can celebrate together.
CAN I DRIVE TO THE CEREMONY/RECEPTION INSTEAD OF TAKING THE SHUTTLE?
Yes! However, please note the last 2 miles of the road require a high clearance vehicle.
WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE?
Please see the dress code for each event on the ‘events’ tab.
DO YOU HAVE ANY HOTEL RECOMMENDATIONS?
Please refer to the 'Travel & Stay' page for all hotel recommendations.
THE HOTEL BLOCK IS FULL, WHAT DO I DO?
If the hotel block is full, please email us at drewberiwedding@gmail.com and we will do our best to add more rooms.
WHAT AIRPORT SHOULD I FLY INTO?
You have 3 airport options to fly into. Montrose Regional Airport (MTJ) which is an hour and 20 minute ride to telluride or Telluride Regional Airport (TEX) which flies directly into town. Denver International Airport (DIA) is another option if you are wanting to road trip. Note: it is a 5+ hour drive from DIA. Please see the ‘transportation’ section for more information on best ways to get there.
I want to camp but have no experience or gear?

GOOD TO KNOW
Elevation Awareness
We’ll be celebrating high in the mountains — the venue sits around 9,500 feet, and Telluride itself is at elevation too. While the views are incredible, altitude can sneak up on you if you’re not used to it.
A few gentle tips to help you feel your best:
Start hydrating before you arrive and keep drinking water throughout your stay
Take it easy on your first day — light activities, no rushing
If you’re sensitive to elevation or new to it, consider skipping or limiting alcohol at first
If you’d like extra support, Telluride has a couple oxygen bar options:
There’s also a wonderful herbal shop downtown called Medicine Ranch, known for their natural tinctures and supplements that can be helpful at altitude. Their team is incredibly knowledgeable and happy to answer questions.
Everyone acclimates differently — listening to your body is key. A little preparation goes a long way, and most people feel great after the first day or two.
MOUNTAIN WEATHER
We’re in the mountains, where weather has a personality of its own. During the day, conditions can change quickly — sun, clouds, a cool breeze, or an afternoon shower can all make an appearance.
There’s a local saying: “If you don’t like the weather in Colorado, just wait five minutes.” That’s part of the charm!
One important note: once the sun sets, temperatures drop fast. We recommend bringing warm layers for the evening, especially for the wedding celebration.
